The missions of the commune councillors
Commune councillors are directly elected by the voters of the commune for a period of six years. The number of local councillors is determined by the number of residents in the commune. The council deliberates and renders decisions on all matters of Commune involvement; it provides advisory opinions when its deliberations or opinions are required by law or regulation or are requested by a higher authority. The Commune Council appoints and dismisses the Commune's civil servants, employees and agents.
